My name is Mari Maximova and I am a young artist from Saint Petersburg. I graduated from the theatre department of Children's Art School No. 1 and from Art Gymnasium No. 190. I am currently studying at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

The central theme of my work is the image of the horse as a symbol of inner freedom, grace, sensitivity and strength. A passion for equestrian sport and many years of being around horses have shaped a special relationship with this image. Through it I explore the emotional bond between human and animal, and I also turn to the theme of the female image, its strength and its deep connection with nature.

Working in painting, graphic art, photography and mixed media, I strive to convey states and feelings for which, at times, there are no words.
